Since then, he has been practicing in Durango, providing high-quality adult internal medicine, pediatrics and women’s health.  He also has special interest in acute/urgent care and sports medicine.  Prior to founding Durango Primary Care, he served as the team primary doctor for Fort Lewis College athletics.

Dr. Owens is a volunteer clinical professor of family medicine with the University of Colorado. He spends one day a week seeing patients along a medical student.

He is excited to work in a direct primary care setting where he can provide high-quality and personalized care for his patients without the distractions and rushed visits of a traditional primary care practice.

He lives in Durango with his wife and three boys.  He volunteers coaching youth lacrosse and in his spare time enjoys biking, skiing, and fly fishing.

Dr. Cheatham was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences with her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. She also went on to complete her Family Medicine residency at OSU in 2017. She has always been drawn to the mountains of Colorado and was able to move to the lovely town of Durango in 2018.

While she enjoys all aspects of family medicine, she has a strong passion for women’s health and wellness, hormone management, and preventative medicine.

She believes exceptional care begins with connection and strives to ensure every patient feels heard, supported, and actively involved in their care. Her approach to medicine is collaborative, and she values quality, unrushed visits to provide thoughtful, individualized care.

She lives in Durango with her four children and enjoys an active mountain lifestyle. Outside of work, she spends her time hiking, running, skiing, lifting weights, and pursuing photography

Mindy Jordeth is a proud Colorado native who grew up in Denver. She received her bachelor's degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins and her medical degree from the University of Colorado in Aurora. She has been practicing medicine since 2013 with experience in Primary Care and Otolaryngology (ENT). She is passionate about preventative medicine and has special interest in women's health, diabetes, allergies and asthma.

She is thrilled to be joining Durango Primary Care and to be making the transition to direct primary care. She has long felt that the healthcare system is broken and feels revitalized in this model which allows better access to care and more one-on-one time with her patients. She believes this model allows the highest quality and personalized care.

She lives in Durango where she has practiced in primary care since 2017. She is very active in the community and enjoys ice hockey, rafting, and fly fishing.

Mindy's approach to medicine is simple: listen, collaborate, and never stop learning.
